Robert Eggers’ new gothic horror will release 3 months from now on Christmas, and with each Full Moon they share more, this time Focus Features has released a new trailer, watch it below.
The film is co-written by Eggers and Sjón, the synopsis reads: “England, 1305. A mute medieval peasent, haunted by childhood trauma, leads a quiet life raising a family on their farm, but with each full moon, he’s cursed to transform into a murderous werewolf. When a hunting party, charged by the king to cull the land of wolves, arrives and forces our man to join them, he struggles to conceal his transformations, all the while fighting to save his soul and his famly’s fate from the evil that lurks within.”
It stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the mute peasent, Lily-Rose Depp plays his wife and Willem Dafoe portrays one of the hunters. Outside of a dog, none of the characters will have a name, Eggers also teased it’s his darkest movie so far and based on the trailer that seems true.
